5 Easy Cocktails for the “End of the World”

Consider this another #adulting skill to learn while social distancing

Already tired of social distancing? If you’re not sick, try one of these easy recipes to help heighten the excitement of your tenth night in a row eating on your couch. Pair with your choice of reality TV show and face mask. It’s a good combo, trust me! Plus, you can add this to the list of #adulting skills you learned while in quarantine.

Watermelon Margarita

For the escapists looking to feel like they’re on a beach, if only for a moment. You’ll need:

  • tequila
  • lime juice
  • Blended watermelon (or just watermelon juice – you do you girl)

Combine one or two shots of tequila with your preferred amount of watermelon juice, add a squeeze of lime, and shake what yo’ mamma gave ya! Drink up. Add lime and salt to the rim if you’re going all the way with it.

Martini

This is for you if you’re feeling like a woman of mystery… You’ll need:

  • 2 oz gin (or vodka, depending on your tastes)
  • 1 oz dry vermouth

Add liquid to ice filled glass or metal shaker. Stir, don’t shake, for ten seconds. Pour into a fancy glass and sip!

Negroni

If you want a strong taste with a strong punch, this one’s for you! You’ll need:

  • 1 oz London dry gin
  • 1 oz sweet vermouth
  • 1 oz Campari

All you need to do is combine, stir with ice, and drink!

Dark n’ Stormy

Why not drink a cocktail that matches your mood? For this you’ll need:

  • 1 part dark rum
  • 2 parts ginger beer
  • lime

Fill your glass with ice, add the rum, then top with ginger beer. Squeeze the lime juice in and drink.

Gin & Tonic

Because sometimes you just need something easy. You’ll need:

  • London dry gin
  • tonic water
  • lime wedge

Pour a liberal amount of gin, add some tonic water (amount depending on how much you’re trying to party), and pour over ice! Garnish with lime wedge to feel like you’re in a boujie bar.
